A Personal Note From Me

Like you, I’m a busy mum (of 2 sassy girls) who felt like I had to figure it out alone…

  • The women’s fitness industry was filled with fear mongering and lack of evidence-based information on how to exercise during pregnancy and beyond.

  • It lit a fire in me to improve the knowledge, support and guidance women receive in fitness and pelvic health.

  • After the birth of my second daughter, I had a 4 finger diastasis and still questioned what I was doing to strengthen my core and pelvic floor. I heard a little voice inside me that said: "do something different".

  • I knew that understanding your own body gives you power, choices you can make to know when and how to proceed, but that it also starts in the mind.

  • So, I created my own Method. I continued to invest in my own coaching and development, applied what I learnt consistently, found inspiring mums to work with, researched, got feedback, and continued to build out a programme that embodied all the things that were missing in the industry: Emotional Energy, Movement AND Freedom.

  • 5 years on and 2 kids, I’m the happiest and stronger than I’ve ever been, I’ve overcome all aches and pains and I have a fully functioning pelvic floor and core (including flatter abs than in my 20s!) 

  • I also managed to do this running 2 businesses, a household and caring for my girls because I recognised the need to prioritise my health and wellbeing.

Typically starting from 6-8 week check up to years later! The reality is, it is NEVER too late to start if you’ve done no formal core or pelvic floor recovery or postpartum strength training since giving birth and/or being diagnosed with symptoms. Q:

What if I don't have pelvic floor issues but I do have have diastasis recti and/or other aches & pains?

A:

While the base of the programme is centred around strength training with pelvic floor issues, many aspects are transferable. The truth is, the method is adapted to YOU and should improve symptoms and aesthetics in the case of mild DRA IF you put in the time, build the foundations and take advantage of all the offline support to improve your technique to get the most out of the exercises. So do apply and we can work out a best plan for you over a call - whether that is with me or I can refer out. 
N.B. The reBorn method bridges the gap between breathwork, pelvic health physical therapy (corrective exercise) and functional strength & conditioning training. If you do have any PFDs, I would always recommend you seeing a pelvic health physio first (recommendations can be provided within reBorn’s network).
